Piano Musicianship Class for ages 3 to 4 years

Songs and music for potential pianists.

This lively class will introduce you to the piano school. You and your child will have the opportunity to continue your child’s musical journey in the singing, theory and piano classes as they become ready. This is an essential start on your child’s musical journey.

South London Piano School –

Piano Musicianship Class for ages 5 to 7 years

 A friendly and nurturing singing and musicianship class for children who will join the piano groups or already play an instrument  Children learn to sing the piano school repertoire and develop their pitch awareness, pulse and rhythm in readiness to join a piano group after two to four terms.

Piano class for ages 6 to 8 years

A friendly and nurturing piano class for beginner pianists.  Children learn to sing the piano repertoire and develop their pitch awareness, pulse and rhythm through games and activities.  They learn to play songs and tunes from memory, developing good technique. We lean to read music and create arrangements.

A unique singing experience where children aged 3 to 6 sing a wide range of songs for fun but at the same time producing quality renditions for performance  in the community.

Mind Body and Song – Age 13-18 

Caring Roots and Rising Shoots have collaborated to offer a session that provides mentoring and music for participants to experience a holistic approach to developing musical and personal skills.  We create a safe nurturing space for teenagers to build confidence personally and musically and platform to show case  their talents.

Southwark Sings

This unique project is in partnership with Southwark Music Services and funded by Youth Music. We especially want to find families who would not usually be able to fund the privilege of weekly music sessions and also those who may not be familiar with the music opportunities available in the area. We would like to work with a cohort of families who can commit to attend the sessions every week.

An exciting drama session where children develop their skills in preparation for Lamda exams and performances. A great place to develop confidence and expression.

An exciting drama session where children develop their skills in preparation for LAMDA exams and performances. These older students learn mentoring skills and their exam results can contribute to UCAS points for university application.

Individual Music Lessons

Our team of professional instrument teachers can provide expert one-to-one tuition for piano, violin and guitar. All teachers are in tune with the Margaret’s Music philosophy of finding the talent within every individual. Covid measures: we can arrange classes via Zoom while lockdown measures are in place.

In person or via Zoom, depending on current guidelines

Holiday Courses

Our holiday courses are one or two weeks long of fun-filled days of making, creating and collaborating with a strong emphasis on a quality drama, dance and singing experience.

Each holiday course culminates in a fabulous final performance where the learning of the week comes together for an all-singing, all-dancing musical extravaganza.
